Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

4/4

Well now. If only more action films were this utterly brilliant. Comprising of little more than maybe 5 minutes worth of dialogue to explain what’s going on throughout the film, Mad Max: Fury Road proceeds to just leave every other mainstream action film of the last few years in the dust. So much of this just…works. The direction is clear. The acting simplistic but charismatic and direct. The art design consistently inventive and just darn cool. Above all, it’s just a balls-out awesome film which manages to create a very detailed world in a very short amount of time for the sole purpose of blowing it up repeatedly.
